Chris Doohan is the son of the late James Doohan, who portrayed Montgomery “Scotty” Scott on Star Trek. Chris spent his childhood watching his father on set of the original series and interacting with fans at conventions. He and his twin brother Montgomery appeared as background extras in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Chris appeared in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness as a transporter room officer assisting the new Scotty, played by Simon Pegg. He credits the fans for their campaign to include him in the films as a tribute to his father. Chris portrayed Scotty in the award-winning web-based fan production Star Trek Continues. He also portrays Scotty for Star Trek Online, including a major appearance in the “Agents of Yesterday” expansion. Chris has also appeared in Your Big Break, Starship Farragut – The Animated Episodes, Unbelievable!!!!! and several documentaries. He upholds the legacy of his father and Star Trek through regular convention appearances around the world and social media.
